The other 2 gardens are: Kairakuen of Mito and Kenrokuen of Kanazawa. Unlike my epic weather failed Kairakuen visit, this time, it was only cloudy and did not rain. Amazing local seafood specialty restaurant in this sleepy town famed for scallop and sea urchin. Sexy Japanese food alert! I am rather fond of skiing. You know, the graceful movement of ski and lovely landscape. The only bad part is that I am TERRIBLE at it. I fall very gracefully, regularly and move quickly out of the way. This is the Matsumoto-jo, also known as the crow castle. Coincidently, tons of big (fat) crows can be spotted in the vicinity. The dark colour comes from a… How to start this one? I was craving for some ramen… WHAT on EARTH were they doing?!?!?!?! First of all, the original Hakata concept was simplicity and rustic feeling. So WHY on earth did they glam up and botox the London branch? That’s right, I felt that they’ve BOTOX the place. Environment: Lovely warm ambiance. Spacious and high ceiling. Toilet was spacious too; can improve by applying more diligence. Service: Great! Attentive and they even held the wine bottle properly (At last, someone who actually knew how to waiter properly) Food: They messed up my tuna steak – over cooked, way too much salt AND managed to make the fish texture hard (from dehydration?) 🙁 Fondant au chocolate… Warm and fussy feeling! Rustic decor, but not the rug and plush sort. Beautiful ambiance for hanging out with friends. It was on the noisy chatter side of things, perhaps not so date friendly despite the dim lighting. We were a group of 6. My friends were previously eating all day long. So it was perfect for trying out tapas without fighting over food lol. Bioré cleanser is my Japanese drugstore go to, probably since I was a teen. All products mentioned in this review are empties aka I’ve finished at least one full product. I have been living in Paris for almost 3 years. It feels like a blink of the eye. Anyways, here are some more impressions of Paris from an Anglophone immigrant’s perspective. Here comes my 6th instalment for the series 10 impressions of Paris. Time flies. I’ve been here for 2 years!!! Do you recognise this landmark? 😉
