These cuddly, fluffy things are real and all naturally found in Akan Lake of Hokkaido, Japan! They looked soooo squishy 😀 They’re alive! Well, a spiritual moss ball?
This is a JR seasonal train. It only operates in July to September. Book in advance is essential.
Red crown crane (tsuru 鶴) has been one of my favourite animal to watch. They’re such graceful creatures. These birds do roam around all over Japan, but the easiest stop will be Kushiro. Kushiro is a small town to the east of Hokkaido. No fast train from major towns, 4.5 hours from Sapporo.
Do I need to say much? 😉 Photo loaded post.
Exclusively Hakodate, Hokkaido! Holy grail burger of Japan. This is a food coma post. See, happy food doesn’t have to cost £120+ 😉 I can’t take credit for finding this one. It was a tip from a local friend.
Romantic patch this one. Let’s walk around through my lens, shall we?
This beautiful day trip kicked off from the scenic train ride. Check this view from the train… (20min ride from Hakodate) Onuma Quasi national Park, Nanae – 大沼公園, 七飯町 I loved this park. It was HUGE and plenty of paths to get lost in the woods. The lake was the central feature, even a wanderer like me couldn’t get completely lost.
