This was an INTENSELY informative tour!!! Margaret, the guide, was AMAZINGLY knowledgeable in history, the Buckingham Palace schedule and royal news (lol). I was gobsmacked with information; in a good way. She knew the history so well. It was absolutely fascinating. It was definitely a 2 hours session well spent. The tour started outside the Green Park station – 10h30.

Oribu Gastrobar is located in the trendy district Chueca in Madrid. Food porn ahead! OMG, their food is orgasmic. The ambience, the presentation, the flavour is amazing. Tapas format, but with Asian inspo. The combinations are definitely imaginative and over eating causing.

I am a HUGE fan of Nissin noodles. I buy them in cases and occasionally dream about them. Anyways, this trip was more of a ‘pilgrimage’ to Nissin.

Just a little bit of history here. Mr Momofuku Ando 安藤 百福 1910-2007, invented THE chicken instant noodle (Chikin ramen チキンラーメン) in 1958. This revolutionised the world – quick meal to treat hungry salary men of Japan, inspiration to space travel meal, the benchmark for noodle preservation technology. The ultimate solution to long nights of gaming, of course.

The museum housed the replica of the original kitchen where Mr Ando created the first instant noodle.
