It is another round of sunscreen (mostly) empties review! I use sunscreen everyday, even if I don’t leave home. I use up 50ml every 4 to 6 weeks and empty around 9 to 13 facial… I have launched my own guasha brand – JOYCE B. Okay, people who knew me when I was working in Shanghai knows that I am obsessed with guasha massages. Who doesn’t? It is pretty crazy… This is a collaboration post with Hoiyin from UK! Hoiyin and I “met” each other via wordpress a few years back. I think we first met via Stashy’s comment section. We’re chatting the other day… Spotted Hubble contact lens on Instagram. Their marketing was very catchy: 15 pairs for 1 euro, I couldn’t resist. What a bargain! I didn’t know that budget contact lens existed before I saw Hubble. Anyways,… I have lived in this hood for about 9 months. Things are already getting quite ‘stale’ lol. One day, I decided to fresh things up and take a different route. Voila, lost *lol*. It took me an additional 30min to get home, but hey, eventually I got home. Anyhow, this has now become a habit. “Unusual hike” returns! With the same sweetheart whom I did the food hike. We planned to get away from the bustling Hong Kong. That kind of went wrong? Those following my IG knows why 😛 I have passed my 50th post on Japan, but still has not written anything about my favourite business hotel chain. My #1 is Super Hotel, business hotel chain. Many branches have mini-onsens and are located near the train stations. Double bed rooms starts at JPY5,500! They have special rates for 30 days+ stays. (all love from me) Right next to the Takachiho Gorge there were some intriguing food stalls. At this place, ‘you snooze or you lose’ had a new meaning. That’s right, the noodle floated along the bamboo, but not into your bowl… if you didn’t catch it in time, they just fly off the cliff. This style of serving udon was the regional specialty, nagashi somen 😀Latest

We were on our way to Tottori sand dunes, but missed our stop. We landed up in Iwami and its beautiful coastline. Brownies to the lost ones. Wahaha. I just love Japan. Anywhere I get lost, it only gets better. Kyoto, touristic mega town! And this shrine draws even more people. While I work on my blog admin, I realised that I haven’t written anything about Kyoto besides my maiko experience. This place is so… I love pho! There’s magic in the Vietnamese broth and the wonders of rice noodles. After ‘phorathon’ in 13eme, here’s favourite and my worst. Warm and fussy feeling! Rustic decor, but not the rug and plush sort. Beautiful ambiance for hanging out with friends. It was on the noisy chatter side of things, perhaps not so date friendly despite the dim lighting. We were a group of 6. My friends were previously eating all day long. So it was perfect for trying out tapas without fighting over food lol. On this beautiful summer’s day, I’ve decided to write about boring admin stuff, namely: how to renew HK passport in Paris. My passport was about to expire (well anything less than 6 months is not… I have just moved to Paris! No internet at home yet. Living in the dark ages, my friends. Currently using ‘borrowed wifi’. Will reply to your comments asap. Fellow bloggers, I will catch up on…
