Impeccably trimmed and a sheer Japanese beauty in the botanical form. Think lake, zen garden, bridge, koi fish, bonzai, boxed grown trees, Japanese tea house overseeing the lake… This beauty was categorised as National Special Scenic Beauty, it was the largest one in Japan. Ryukyu was the old version word for Okinawa. This theme park recreated the times of Ryuku kingdom, a cultural type of theme park. It was small, so 2-3 hours was suffice, unless you decide to make your own pottery, glass or other local hand craft. The park was very Japanese, not much English happens here. Well, I was there in April, off peak. The staff were incredibly friendly and very proactive in welcoming guests. Warm and fuzzy feeling sort of theme park 🙂 This is a JR seasonal train. It only operates in July to September. Book in advance is essential. This shrine is in the middle of a tropical forest with a sea view! Located in the middle of Devil’s washboard in Miyazaki, Japan
