Starting a new series – travel Paris one zone at a time. Today’s post will focus on the islands, home to UNESCO site and the ice cream legend Berthillon. It’s a great way to kick start for any visitors. Here’s my tried and tested itinerary. This was originally written for my visiting friends. You know who you are 😉 xox

According to tripadvisor, the jewel of Plaza de Cibeles is the fountain. No offence, but running through busy traffic to get to the fountain isn’t my idea of fun. In any case, in the same plaza, I found Cibeles Palace (aka Palacio de Cibeles / Palace of Communication) far more interesting and safe to visit. This gorgeous building was free to visit! Free exhibitions, free wifi, free work desks, tons…

This place is where everyone gets to climb on all four, zipline through the forest and unleash that inner jungle self. They do have some Ninja Warrior style routes as well. From a parent’s perspective, there is how to pacify the kids. Work excellently, by the way. Tried and tested. Here is a quick summary so that you know what you’re in for.
