Loads of photos. Caught the nostalgia bug today while visiting Hong Kong. It has been 2 years since I’ve officially left Shanghai! Those 8 crazy years in Mordor (locals called it ‘modu’ 魔都). Shanghai was glitsy, cosmopolitan and pure madness.… This restaurant had it all going. Ninja waitrons, Ninja receptionist, trap doors, magic scrolls, magic show, ninja themed food… This was a seriously thrifty trip. Hubby and I stayed at a guesthouse (more like a local home). The key expense was transport LOL. Surrounded by beautiful rice paddy and various farms. So shopping / convenient store was nowhere to be seen. Just sheer natural beauty. This was 1 hour train away from the bustling Kumamoto. Surreal how the scenery changed completely. The region was called Minami-Aso (South Aso); the… Boasting to be one of the oldest natural onsen in Japan. This gem is one of my favourite amongst the open air onsens (rotenburo). It is inexpensive and a stunning experience. Breath-taking unbreached sea view while bathing. Bath within 10m from the sea!!!Latest
