I love pho! There’s magic in the Vietnamese broth and the wonders of rice noodles. After ‘phorathon’ in 13eme, here’s favourite and my worst. This is a JR seasonal train. It only operates in July to September. Book in advance is essential. It’s that time of the month again! The box has arrived!!! I have passed my 50th post on Japan, but still has not written anything about my favourite business hotel chain. My #1 is Super Hotel, business hotel chain. Many branches have mini-onsens and are located… As usual, I did not plan this at all. It was the earliest available ferry. Outlying island of Hong Kong, it had the old school charm of a fishing port. Smells a little bit fishy, but hey, chilled and lovely. Nice change from the main island. Wandering aimlessly does have its merit. I came across this old temple. This Taoist temple was called Pak Tai 北帝廟 or Yuk Hui 玉虛宮. I had no idea why it had 2 names. Identity crisis happened to temples too, I guess. Caught the nostalgia bug today while visiting Hong Kong. It has been 2 years since I’ve officially left Shanghai! Those 8 crazy years in Mordor (locals called it ‘modu’ 魔都). Shanghai was glitsy, cosmopolitan and pure madness. Funny enough, I only miss 8 things about Shanghai. None of them are particularly glamourous. This is a collection of random things that I observed when I was in Brussels. Similar style as my 10 impressions of Paris series. Latest
