I am rather fond of skiing. You know, the graceful movement of ski and lovely landscape. The only bad part is that I am TERRIBLE at it. I fall very gracefully, regularly and move quickly out of the way. Is that good sportsmanship or what? In any case, in the lovely French Alps with my spirit ran high, I decided to ski in the blue lane. Fantastic idea! Cruising along… Pointe des Châteaux is where Atlantic ocean and Caribbean sea meet. A gorgeous scenic hike with countless viewing points. This is an easy hike with very little inclination. Accommodation prices on Miyajima are well known to be unforgiving, so are ryokans. Introducing my proud affordable find, Sakuraya Ryokan. The location was SOOOO good. It was 5min walk from the ferry dock and 10min walk to the alluring Itsukushima Jinja 厳島神社, 宮島. Cannot be happier.
