Greeted by the magical looking Waterwall, I could tell that this place was going to be fun. There’s 2 NGV, this was the international side.

The Waterwall at the entrance. I just can’t help touching that 😀

Right near the entrance was a mirror house looking creation. Walking into this mirror sculpture was like entering a different world. Below is a short clip of what’s it like “walking in art”.

This place oozes the inside-outside sort of feeling. Not to spoil your potential visits. Here are my highlights.

Resting area. Can lay down, row around etc *LOL*

More resting area, but this one is outdoor with vapour spray 😀 The weather was not with me, it was drizzling all day long.

Skipping the rest of the exhibitions. My favourite was the Viktor & Rolf exhibition. It was interactive and just plan fun 😀ngv-international-viktor-rolf-8933

Visitors were offered paper patterns to create the item of their dreams. That bunch of paper was a hat.

ngv-international-viktor-rolf-8938There were 3 different booths and here’s the end products 😀1130-162339-583e625bbb52d-anim1130-161720-583e60e083a5a-anim.gif1130-162122-583e61d2de3f7-anim

Tips

  • No backpacks or large handbags. There’s  free ‘cloakroom’ to check in your bags at the entrance.
  • If you’re not a shy person, grab a flower on the way out. These flowers are for free on the condition that you give it to a stranger on the way out 😉 spread the love *The moving garden by Lee Mingwei will end 29 Jan 2017
  • Viktor &  Rolf exhibition will end on 26 Feb 2017

  1. Quite incredible, it was succinct and could be taken in easily in 1.5 hours with an IPOD Touch. I’m getting an artists app for my IPAD

  2. Great to see you enjoyed our State Gallery Joyce, even though its called “National” WE were in there for Hockney today, fascinating artist.

    • The NGV is beautiful. How was Hockney’s. I had two minds about it and didn’t go in at the end. ????

  3. This is like a playground for adults – fun! The Viktor & Rolf looks like the perfect marketing vehicle for them. 😉

    • Exactly! Agree that it’s marketing. Wahaha too bad, their stuff are way unaffordable and their perfume is not up my alley ????
