Greeted by the magical looking Waterwall, I could tell that this place was going to be fun. There’s 2 NGV, this was the international side.
Craziness and I turned mega tourist haha. It was a day of Japanese food, games, cute stuff and cosplay. I liked this type of festival or exhibitions. It brought people together and acted out on their imagination in an environment where nothing was too crazy. In fact, go big or go home. This is a photo heavy post.
Essentially, this place was swamped with the artwork from the Harry Potter movie and a few other collections by Minalima. This was a freebie. Zero entrance fee and something fun to see. This place was within 2 min walk from the Harry Potter cursed child theatre.
Sheer inspiration. Palais Ideal is the embodiment of perseverance. Postman, Ferdinand Cheval, born of humble beginnings with no art education built this in the course of 33 years using only his spare time. Madness has a name too it seems. The late Ferdinand Cheval (1836 to 1924) was just a normal guy and was one day inspired because he tripped over a rock. He kept the rock and found more rocks the following day… What comes next is as per the below pictures.
Follow my blog with Bloglovin Went to the Louis Vuitton exhibition last week and here is a quick load down. LV is out to entertain visitors with tech visuals and suit up tour host. My personal favourite ‘exhibition’ is ‘Meet with an artisan from Asnieres’. It is a short Q&A session, but lovely, make LV feels more warm & fussy. She doesn’t speak English, so LV has a translator on standby. Nice designer touch 😉 Also get to meet the pieces from the AW2015 run way – some are for up close and personal, available for touching. I don’t have much to say about the AW2015 collection, apparel is my real life profession after all. Career limiting move for me to comment, right?
