Although this isn’t a UNESCO site like Canterbury, this cathedral is pretty old. It was built in 1077–1893. It is the OLDEST continuous Christian worship in Britain. Interesting story of selfless sacrifice to save a friend too. Best part yet? Zero crowd!!!
Story time? Beauty of solo travel. This was not my brightest moment. Google map was wrong AND I landed up in a spot where there was no internet…
Will not find peace and calmness on Brighton beach! This place is swarmed. Brighton is a mere 1 hour train ride from Victoria station, can easily see why this place is one of Londoners’ favourite getaway. Photogenic town.
This is a beautiful city stroll / chilled tourism sort of place. Do not expect lots to do or see. What this old town has to offer is oldness LOL Seriously, this town as been around since AD77.
This Victoria cemetery has been around since 1840. It is the perfect serene escape from the busy London life. While it does not have a crowd of famous tombs, it is certainly more cemetery like that the camera blazing Highgate cemetery. Plus, this is a freebie to visit.
Been around since 597AD, this UNESCO site did not disappoint. She is the oldest church in England. The place was well maintained. The Gothic architecture was magnificent. This was definitely worthy of a day trip from London.
LOVE cooking class!!! It’s a fabulous way of spending 3 hours cooking / stuffing face. Who’s excited about MSG-free dim sum?
‘Fairest in the world,’ said the guide. This was one bold claim. Let’s visit this castle together and draw the conclusion later.
Precisely, afternoon tea at The Georgian. The Georgian has been around since 1913. Harrods is ‘slightly older’, born 1834. If old school English charm is what you seek, I think this is the right place. I am a sucker for that traditional feeling.
