YEY!!! 1 year in blogging!!! Local Girl Foreign Land is now 1 years old. Thank you all for being here!!! My first post was actually a food post Cooking at Ecole Institut Paul Bocuse *lol* which was pretty ridiculous on my part since I started this blog with travel in my mind. I guess it happens to all newbies, right? Quick glance at my goals… ops… I did not reach… Yey! Another ferry ride at Port Blanc. Love doing that. Baden was quite the spot for island hopping. The islands were wine & party ready, but in the French chic way (not Phi Phi, Thailand). The accuracy of what’s going on was sketchy, given that I only understood 30% of the time. This was part of my immersion French course. There is actually nothing to do in this town, which is why it is so fabulous. Quietness like you never know. Think uninterrupted coast line, zero traffic and peaceful sleep. Right now (time of writing), I am at my hubby’s grandma’s. This course means ‘business’. I am in Prefailles, a seaside French town. It is more like Intensive PLUS infinity crash course. O, and I am alone without my husband. Let’s review on what I have learnt during my 10 days immersion course. I summarised them into 3 points. Work day can start as early as 6h00 if one wishes e.g. so that one can leave work at 14h00 to pick up kids. At least, the company that I worked for was like that. The following collection of pictures were taken over the course of the same day. “Own only what you can carry with you; know language, know countries, know people. Let your memory be your travel bag.” Alexandr Solzhenitsyn My trouble is… my memory is dotty *LOL* I write a diary and blog to help with that 😛 I do feel that living out of a suit case quite liberating 😉 less is more Please be a sweetheart & follow my social media xox…
