“We are like butterflies who flutter for a day and think it is forever.”
Carl Sagan
This is kind of depressing, but hey, enjoy the moment for what it is 😉
When I was traveling and taking a ton of photos (per usual, I use to do that even before blogging), I suddenly realised that I might not be living in the moment! Dire! So for a day, I put away my camera and strolled around. It was an amazingly liberating experience! Suddenly even a fluttering bug, a tiny moving shell became so much more fascinating.
*this was filmed the day after my camera free day
Obviously, this move was not exactly blogging friendly. (BUT) I didn’t start this blog trying to show every bit of traveling that I did. That’s not what this blog was about. This was never meant to be a vanity project. This space was meant to be a spot to share some special memories and things that I love/hate.
Nothing last forever, but let’s hope my writing will keep those (bitter)sweet memories alive for a little longer.

???? off line stuff! Well done!!!
I do understand the camera/no camera feeling. I am just starting into photography (though I still only have a point and shoot) there is definitely a sense of freedom in that I take in more of my surroundings without my camera.
Thanks for sharing! 🙂
Thank you for dropping by, Carl ???? happy new year~~
The first picture is wonderfully captured and it looks like a movie still
Thank you, Sangeetha ????
It really is freeing to go without a camera / phone when travelling. But, I do personally really enjoy looking back at photos for personal enjoyment!
My camera + lens weigh about 1.5kg ????, it is very ‘liberating’ for me wahhaha. Me too, I love looking at old photos. I love the sensation of taking photos too. That reflex click sound is soooo satisfying. ???? I am sure that I sound a bit OCD or psychotic by now wahahha
