I love pho! There’s magic in the Vietnamese broth and the wonders of rice noodles. After ‘phorathon’ in 13eme, here’s favourite and my worst.

Pho Tai – 13 rue Philibert Lucot, 75013 Paris

Orgasmic broth! Speechless. Rich, old broth taste. Well balanced in sweetness and acidity. In your face aromatic. Just stunning! Went there 5 times, 1 time was sub-standard. The owner could speak English, Cantonese, Mandarin, Vietnames, French and perhaps something else too LOL Friendly service. Total LOVE.

Pho 13 – 66 Avenue d’Ivry, 75013 Paris

[DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY]

NB!!! There are two Pho 13. Pho 13 on 135 avenue de Choisy 75013 is EXCELLENT! Almost a close contestant for top spot. CRITICAL difference. Do not confuse these two.

OMG! The broth tasted like Maggi’s, but tasteless? I can’t even describe its horror. Instant noodle by Indomie tasted way better. One visit was one too many, 2 was just ‘kill me now’. The lack of meat and weird bits of chicken shreds in their chicken pho was ridiculous. Let’s not talk about their springrolls and steamed pastry, shall we? I didn’t want to relive those moments. Focusing on their pho, I had to season my own soup in attempt eating it. No amount of fresh chilli could drown out this loud ass failure of a soup.

This is the good Pho13. The terrible one has a glass window on the left and is a much larger store.

So, what’s your favourite/worst in Paris 13?
