Accommodation prices on Miyajima are well known to be unforgiving, so are ryokans. Introducing my proud affordable find, Sakuraya Ryokan. The location was SOOOO good. It was 5min walk from the ferry dock and 10min walk to the alluring Itsukushima Jinja 厳島神社, 宮島. Cannot be happier.

Many branches have mini-onsens and are located near the train stations. Double bed rooms starts at JPY5,500! They have special rates for 30 days+ stays. (all love from me)
Red crown crane (tsuru 鶴) has been one of my favourite animal to watch. They’re such graceful creatures. These birds do roam around all over Japan, but the easiest stop will be Kushiro. Kushiro is a small town to the east of Hokkaido. No fast train from major towns, 4.5 hours from Sapporo.
Romantic patch this one. Let’s walk around through my lens, shall we?
