Botanical garden of Guadeloupe. Exotic plants in abundance, hungry birds, enormous koi fishes and a restaurant on the rocks. What else can anyone expect from a botanical garden?
Excitement started right from the entrance… with gigantic, hungry koi fishes LOL
Anyways, after feeding fat and furious Koi, it was time to take a tranquil stroll. Please take note of how beautiful the weather was..
This was a botanical garden so flora and fauna was their thing. Here are some photos:
Beside a whole bunch of plants, the garden had some special residence 😀
After feeding the fishes and the birds, it was time to feed me. The restaurant was on a man-made waterfall.
Time to wander off some more…
The weather has changed drastically. It was tropical, heavy rain + wind. Sitting in the restaurant did not help. So if you really want to see what the garden was like in heavy rain, please watch my clip.
With rain like that, we had to call it a day. The end.
Tips
- Restaurant reservation is always a good idea.
- If you’re keen to read up everything, download the app before your visit.
- I highly recommend spending 2-3 hours in this tropical heaven. There’s lot of ground to cover *include lunch*
- Bring some EUR0.50 change if you want to feed some birds or fishes.
- The price of a single visit is the same as an annual pass for local residence.
- When it comes to feeding the birds, for MAXIMUM birds on your head, shoulders, arms and hands, get yourself 2 cups (one on each hand).
